DESCRIPTION:

trapped in realm where samurai go from a hatamoto to forgotten. You, a banished ronin must find the way out. Move throughout haunted wrecked villages, abandoned  temples,  and the spirit-filled night sky by using WASD keys to move and SPACE to dash. Defeat the spirit teku by swinging your honorable KATANA by pressing 'U, or deflect incoming threats with 'I'. Complete what many samurai failed and restore your honor, collect the spirits from fallen samurai through masks lost in each level. When you've harnessed each fallen samurais spirit a great deal of power will be found within you. Use this power to defeat the SHINIGAMI reigning over the realm found in the last level

POST-MORTEM:

 What are you particularly proud of in this project?

      -   Some things we were proud of in this game were our introduction which I think added the most to the feel and play style of the game, it added a touch of immersiveness  to the playthrough. Our sprite collection as well is something that we were very pleased with being a group with only 3 members none of which being artists, finding sprites all matching a theme was tricky.

What worked better than you expected?

     -   I think the intro animation, it used very simple code with vspeed/hspeed and some camera tricks to get a look we were pleased with. Our movement system also worked extremely well with its own quirks and mechanics which gave a nice touch and flow to the gameplay.

What went wrong/what problems did you face?

     -   With being only a dev team of 3 there are a couple issues to list. The dash mechanic can be a bit of a buggy but was built to the best of our ability. In the early stages attacks only went to the right of the player so coding in orientation was a challenge at first. Getting all our code on one build was a bit tricky in the early stages as well but found a file sharing system that worked well for everybody.

CHANGES/PATCH NOTES:

 - Changes to falling speed and overall movement

 - Changes to the platforming/difficulty

 - Changes to basic GUI elements like health bar and scoring system

 - Mask Mechanic(When all 5 collected power of 5 shinobi is aquired by              500HP)

 - Fitting intro animations as well as tutorial to add context/ lore to the                mission/goal of the game
